When to call us

Signs a room is ready for bespoke joinery.

Off-the-shelf furniture falls short in familiar places. These are the ones worth acting on, and what each needs first.

Clothes living on chairs and in suitcases

Often a layout problem rather than a size one, solved by custom wardrobes planned from an inventory.

Alcoves and under-stair space going to waste

Where custom joinery earns its place: built to dimensions no off-the-shelf unit will fill.

A musty smell inside the wardrobe

Humidity with nowhere to go. Sealed edges, the right board and ventilation belong in the design.

A kitchen that fights how you cook

Bespoke kitchens are drawn around your appliances and routine, not around standard cabinet sizes.

Moving into a new or renovated villa

The simplest moment: joinery planned with the lighting, sockets and air conditioning, not around them.

What's included

Every visit, to the same written standard.

01
Measured site survey

Walls, recesses and ceiling heights measured on site, so drawings start from the room, not the plan.

02
Design and layout options

Hanging, drawers and shoe storage planned around what you own, with finish options side by side.

03
Finishes and hardware in writing

Board, colour, handles, hinges and runners named in the scope, so what arrives is what you agreed.

04
A written scope and programme

Scope, quote and dates agreed before anything is made, with payments tied to completed stages.

05
Wardrobes, closets and dressing rooms

Fitted and built-in wardrobes, custom closets and walk-in dressing rooms, scribed to uneven walls.

06
Kitchens, cabinets and built-in units

Bespoke kitchens, custom cabinets, TV and media walls, study units, panelling and bespoke furniture.

07
One supervisor, one team

Installed and adjusted by one accountable team, with floors, stairs and door frames protected first.

08
Snagging and written handover

A joint inspection, snags cleared before final payment, and every finish recorded in writing.

Our standard

Bespoke Joinery & Wardrobes, the Xpert Hands way.

Bespoke joinery goes wrong in predictable places: measurements taken from a floor plan instead of the room, a finish chosen from a thumbnail, hinges and runners left to whoever places the order. Each is decided before anything is made, and each is expensive to change once the doors are hung.

So the slow part comes first: a free site survey, measured drawings, and finishes and hardware written into the scope. Then one accountable team installs to those drawings, and payments follow completed stages.

Every job is quoted in writing before work starts and documented in writing when it's done. One accountable team, one number, from first visit to final sign-off.

In practice that means the scope of work, the date and the number to call are printed on your invoice. No debate about what was agreed — the document in your hand is the record. Paperwork sounds unglamorous, but it is what accountability actually looks like: what we quoted, what we did, and how to reach us, all in writing.

How it works

Four steps. No surprises at any of them.

01Survey and measure

A free site survey: every wall and recess measured, and how you use the room discussed.

02Design, then a written quote

Drawings, finishes and hardware agreed first; the quote and dates follow in writing.

03Installation, supervised

One accountable team installs to the agreed drawings; payments follow completed stages.

04Snag and hand over

Doors and drawers adjusted, snags cleared, handover issued in writing — then the final payment.

Tell us what you need. Properly.

The more you tell us, the more precise your quote — and the fewer questions we need to ask when we call. Photographs are welcome; so is a one-line summary if that's all you have time for.

How we handle your details is set out in our privacy notice. A specialist replies within fifteen minutes during the day, and first thing in the morning if you write overnight. Genuinely urgent? Call between 08:00 and 20:00 — that reaches someone straight away.

  • Fixed quote before any work is booked
  • No call-out charge for quoting
  • Written summary of every completed job

What happens after you press send: your request lands with our booking team, not a call centre queue. A specialist who actually knows this work reads the details, checks them against your photographs and notes, and either prepares a written quote — itemised, fixed, and valid whether you book this week or next month — or, where the job needs a look first, arranges a visit and quotes after it. If anything is unclear they ask before quoting, not after arriving. You'll hear from us by phone or WhatsApp within fifteen minutes during the day. Messages that arrive overnight are answered first thing in the morning. There is no obligation at any point: many clients use the quote to sanity-check another provider's price, and we're comfortable being the benchmark.

Worth knowing

Planning bespoke joinery in a Dubai villa.

Humidity and air conditioning are design inputs

A Dubai villa moves between sealed, air-conditioned rooms and very humid air whenever the system is off or the doors stand open. Unsealed board edges take up that moisture, and a closed wardrobe on an external or bathroom wall is where mould starts on clothes during a summer away, so the specification should call for moisture-resistant board, sealed edges and ventilation where needed. Air conditioning shapes the layout too: tall units must not block return-air grilles or seal in a fan-coil unit an engineer will need to reach.

Wardrobe design starts with what you own

The doors are what you see; the inside is what you use every day. Good wardrobe design begins with an inventory — long dresses, abayas and kanduras that need full-length hanging, folded clothes, shoes, bags and suitcases — and sets rail heights, drawers and shelf spacing to suit. Walk-in closets need the same inventory, and dressing room design adds room to move, a full-length mirror and lighting that shows true colour. Custom-made wardrobes earn their place in these details, which are settled on the drawings, not on installation day.

Finishes and hardware, chosen for daily use

Finish choices change how joinery ages. Lacquer gives a seamless colour but shows knocks on busy edges; veneer brings real timber grain and needs its edges protected; laminates take daily wear well. Hardware matters more than most people expect: hinges and runners are used several times a day, every day, and decide whether a door still closes quietly years from now. Write both into the scope — board, finish, colour, handle, hinge and runner — so what is installed is what was agreed, and the next piece can be matched.

Protecting the house during installation

Joinery usually arrives into a finished home, carried across floors, stairs and walls that are already done. Marble and timber floors should be covered before anything comes in, door frames and stair edges protected, and cutting kept away from finished surfaces with the dust controlled. Tall units are fixed to the wall, not simply stood against it, and the site is left clean each evening. Ask a contractor how they protect the floor before you ask about the wardrobes; the answer tells you how they treat what they are not being paid to touch.

Before you ask

Straight answers to the usual questions.

These are the questions our booking team hears most, answered the way we'd answer them on the phone. If yours isn't here, the fastest route is WhatsApp — between 08:00 and 20:00 a specialist replies within minutes, and you'll get a straight answer rather than a sales script. Nothing below is small print; everything stated here is what the written quote and the invoice will say too, because a company that answers plainly before the job is far more likely to behave plainly during it.

What joinery works do you take on?
Fitted and built-in wardrobes, custom closets and dressing rooms, bespoke kitchens, custom cabinets, media walls and bespoke furniture — made to measure for villas and townhouses.
How is the design agreed?
It starts with a free site survey. We measure, then draw the layout with finish and hardware options; the version you approve is written into the scope before anything is made.
How long does a wardrobe or kitchen take?
It depends on the scope: one wardrobe wall and a whole villa of joinery are different programmes. Once the design is agreed, the written programme states your dates.
Can you match our existing interiors?
Usually, yes. Door styles, skirting, handles and colours are noted at the survey and finishes chosen to suit. If an exact match is not possible, we say so before anything is made.
Do you remove the old units?
Yes, where the scope calls for it. Removing old wardrobes or a kitchen is its own line in the written scope, with the walls and floor behind made good before anything new goes in.
How are payments structured?
By milestone. Each payment is tied to a completed stage set out in the written scope, and the final one falls due at handover, once the snag list is cleared.
For business

Managing property, not just living in one?

Offices, retail, F&B, clinics and residential buildings run on different terms: response times you can hold us to, one account manager across every site, and documentation your inspections will ask for.

  • A written SLA with response times by severity
  • One named account manager across all your sites
  • Consolidated monthly invoicing and reporting
  • Quarterly reviews against the numbers, not anecdotes
